Profile
I was trained as a physics engineer from ULB, Belgium and have a PhD in biophysics from the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA). My thesis work focused on the determination of the three-dimensional structure of proteins using X-ray crystallography and on molecular dynamics simulations of proteins. Afterwards I moved to France to work as a post-doctoral researcher at the CNRS on software development (image processing and applied mathematics) for interfacing X-Ray crystallography and Electron Microscopy. My current interests are in applied mathematics and digital image processing.
As part of the numediart project, I am working on the content-based organization of multimedia databases. My work thus involves applied mathematics (data mining) and image processing.
I also contribute to some classes (Calculus, Numerical Analysis, Graph Theory, Data Mining).
